We highly doubt that cavemen worried too much about how good their food tasted. It was more like eat what you could kill or scavenge.
Fast forward to 2012 and there is a growing movement of people who believe that a Paleo style diet - consisting of unprocessed foods, lean animal meats, fresh fruits and low glycemic vegetables is a healthier way of eating. At DeliverLean we couldn't agree more.
Our Chefs, Doctors and Nutritionists have taken Paleo and upped the ante, making sure you only eat the most delicious, healthy and nutritionally dense meals possible. Our customers choose our Paleo style plan for its lower carb and lower calorie options and of course the taste.
Consider it a Paleo Diet with a twist. Our DeliverLean Paleo plan follows the same philosophy as our traditional program while incorporating principles similar to those of a Paleo diet. It is not a strict Paleo plan, but it is a lower carbohydrate option that avoids grains, cereals and starchy vegetables (with the exception of sweet potatoes). The main components of this plan are lean meats, fish, eggs, all non-starchy vegetables, fruit, and fiber-rich beans and legumes. Each meal will provide 300 calories, approximately 4 oz of lean protein and 3-4 oz vegetables.
