What Happens to your Body After Just ONE Workout!

We all know how beneficial exercise is over time. But did you know that your body undergoes major transformations after one single workout? From sleeping better to losing weight to living longer, exercise is amazing medicine. Doctors recommend getting at least two and a half hours per week of moderate-intensity exercise to maximize these benefits. Still, something is better than nothing, and from a single sweat session your body will be positively affected. Feel free to be proud of one workout, because your body has changed in the following ways:

  • You will be more focused. The surge of blood flow to your brain allows you to feel more alert and focused post exercise
  • You will have a decrease in stress. The release of endorphins will make you feel relaxed and less overwhelmed.
  • You will be in a better mood. During exercise, your brain will release the neurotransmitters serotonin and endorphins, both of which are responsible for an overall sense of well-being and satisfaction.
  • You will immediately decrease your chance of getting Type 2 Diabetes. A single work out is proven to increase insulin sensitivity. Low insulin sensitivity can lead to diabetes.
